I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2013!
Of course it is a new experience to celebrate the New Year far away from family and friends in Taiwan, but my best wishes go out to all of you wherever you are and whatever you are/were doing to celebrate the New Year. Please know I kept you in my thoughts and wishes for 2013.
2012 to me was a year of realization. I, of course, have made many bad decisions and things I would love to change, but it was also a very successful year for me.
Looking back I have met many amazing people this year, gained new friends from all over the world and made invaluable experiences, which I will never want to forget. I hope this part continues in 2013.
But 2013 is going to be quite a tough one for me because of the first part. It will be an exhausting and long journey to accomplish all of those goals that I have set myself for this year. Yet I hope that by the end of this year, once the clock hits 12 I will be able to say that I tried my hardest to achieve them.
What are your wishes and goals for 2013? Maybe you should also take a moment and think about all the things you truly would like to change about your life or yourself, maybe improve on and maybe just pay more attention to. Sometimes a new year can be a new start. But be sure that you are in control of deciding when to make something happen. You definitely don’t need a number in the calendar to make you realize and change things. But it can be the thought attached to the number that will make you want to pursue it. Therefore, see it as a motivation to do those changes this year!
’13’ has always been my number. Whether it was my Lacrosse player number for years and years, my room number in my first dorm room in the UK or the floor I lived on in Hong Kong, the number 13 has followed me. Therefore, I believe this year will be different (not that it already is because I am MILES away from everyone) but I want it to be different.
I hope everyone had a great celebration and HAPPY NEW YEAR from Taipei
much love,
Mirella
